Cardinal Tattoo will be closed on Saturday August 13th in order to celebrate our 2nd anniversary.
Boy, when you put it that way, it seems pretty simple. What would be more appropriate would be to say that after all that we've done in the last two years this will be one of the very few days when we take time to reflect on: the charitable donations and free events we've hosted to help bring new life to the freshly revitalized historic Gallatin square; the people we've met along the way and the strength of the new relationships we've built in such a short time (Josh & Rachel, Jeremy & Kayla, Billy & Joann, Donna, The entire Crescent City crew, Ginger, Robbie & Maggie, our RHPS performers, Nick, Nevada, along with too many others to list, not to mention the old hats who came with us from before Cardinal Tattoo even existed, we love you guys); Killing it at our first tattoo convention as a shop and seeing Will turn into a giddy schoolkid when he got tattooed by his tattoo idol Mr. Bob Tyrrell; Scratching a slew of items off of several bucket lists (Will got to take his family to Disney and Universal Studios, something he never thought he'd be able to do, Karen and Tasha got tattooed by their idols Dave Tevenal and Kelly Doty respectively, Drew went to the NAMM show in California and got to hang out with some big names in the music industry as well as some of his favorite musicians from Pantera and Sepultura, and that's just been in the last year!); Hosting an art and fashion show for local up-and-coming artist Said Del Diaz and Mass Destruction Clothing; and we built a rocket that can reach a low-earth orbit and re-enter the atmosphere without burning up (that's not true, just wanted to check if you're paying attention!).
Whew. That's more like it.
All in all, we've worked hard, done our best to deliver good tattoos at a fair price, and tried to be a positive influence in our community. We at Cardinal Tattoo would like to take this time to thank all those who have made that possible: our friends, families, and loyal clients. And the haters. And our goldfish, couldn't have done it without you guys (Actually... well, nevermind).
Why are you still reading this? Seriously! Shouldn't you be working or something? Hell, even if you're on the toilet right now you should really consider either shitting or getting off the pot. Go pick a political fight with someone on Facebook already! Sheesh, who do I look like, Ernest frickin' Hemingway or something? My fingers hurt from typing.
But still, it's been awesome. Thank you all so much. We love you.
But we're going to take Saturday the 13th off so we can all get wasted together. See you Sunday!
