Well, another year's done and gone. We've lost some greats: Bowie; Ali; Gene Wilder; Alan Rickman; Carrie Fisher; Prince, to name just a few. It'll make you think. At Cardinal Tattoo we encourage our customers to build a real relationship with their artist, relying on their expertise to create a life-long image in their skin they will always be proud of, custom tailored to the individual.
But not everyone listens.
We still have people coming here more interested in expense than art. Skeptical of our collective abilities. Folks with bad attitudes towards our industry and way of life.
Almost everyday someone comes through our doors that has no concept of what they're getting themselves into. To them it's a game, something they saw on T.V. or the INTERNET and just HAVE to have. Right now. Cheap.
No dice, homeslice!
We heard somewhere about a movement directed at more intelligent consumerism, getting more for your money without necessarily trying to save money. That's right, paying for quality. In a world of Black Friday deals and discount tattoo prices targeted at people who want the most, there's a growing group of people who are no longer willing to settle for watered-down, inferior junk just because it's cheap. Y'know, people like your grandparents (or great-grandparents, we're not getting any younger), who understood that spending a little more on the front end would pay off in the long run. The same logic applies to tattoo. Buy less. Choose well. Happy New Year, indeed!
